The links at left explore C. P. Snow's issue of "the two cultures." The first link is to my web journal, which indicates that I am pretty much on the humanist side of the scientist/humanist divide.

The views of the Freeman Dyson fans at Edge provide an interesting contrast with those of C. S. Lewis (That Hideous Strength) fans. For the coming century, however, the views of Esther Dyson (EDventure Holdings) seem of greater interest.

The classic personal statement of the clash between the two cultures is, of course, Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. The classic philosopher of Scientism in the past century is W. V. Quine. Hence the links below.
